Harvest!

We had to scoot to Ontario pretty unexpectedly just as our apple trees were starting to redden. *sigh* We got back, just in time to prepare for Dorian.

We eyed our apple trees sadly, believing most of the apples would be plucked from the tree when the high winds hit.

But to our surprise, those apples were stubborn!

Sure we lost quite a bit, but, we’ve also been able to harvest tons of apples from our trees!

We have good eating apples. Delicious, fresh off the tree, crunch apples. And we have some that are a little more bruised that we’re going to use to make apple cider vinegar.

Either way, whatever we can collect, we’re not planning on letting go to waste.

Even the chickens are cashing in.
