Our Animals

The food industry isn’t healthy.

Chicken farms pack so many chickens into their barns, they have to cut the beaks off the chickens to keep them from killing each other.

Fruits and vegetables are constantly being recalled from the grocery store, as reports of people falling ill from E.coli come in.

When you read about all these things in the media, it’s enough to make you terrified of the grocery aisle.

It’s what made us decide to start raising our own meat, and grow our own vegetables and fruits.

We wanted something different for our children. We wanted to raise them on healthy food. We wanted them to be a part of the process and see that animals deserve to be treated properly. They deserve to have a good life.

So, we raise our chickens from hatchlings, and let them range free on our property. Our goats and sheep rotationally graze our pasture, which makes sure the healthiest grasses are available to them. Our meat birds follow our goats and sheep, eating bugs and enjoying the sunlight. We treat them all ethically. We pasture raise them all because we believe if we treat them right, if they have a good and healthy life, they will be good and healthy for us as well.

We believe that healthy animals, make healthy families, and we’re glad to be a part of the change.
